Teaching
Teaching and learning from the Bible is an important aspect of our church life which is expressed on a Sunday morning, a Thursday afternoon and at Church at Home on a Wednesday evening. Rob Bell wrote, "We have to embrace the Bible as the wild, uncensored, passionate account it is of people experiencing the living God. " (Velvet Elvis (Zondervan, 2006) p.63). This is what we seek to do.
Although Andy Johnson takes a large responsibility for the Sunday teaching, he is joined by Sarah Towers and Trevor Perry from within the church and numerous guest speakers from the locality and further afield. Talks generally last for around 20-25 minutes and Andy normally makes use of Powerpoint to help make his message more accessible.
