Acton Green Church, Mission Statement

At Acton Green Church, we’re interested in relationship rather than religion. Relationship with God, and with each other, hence our strapline, ‘Bringing people and God together’.

We aim to be a church where everyone matters, from the oldest to the youngest; and where everyone has something to contribute. We may, at the moment, be comparatively modest in number, but we believe this to be a strength, an easier setting in which to foster those authentic and enduring relationships. 
 
American theologian Stanley Hauerwas says that the task of the church is to be ‘the kind of community that tells and tells rightly the story of Jesus’. We would like to invite you to join us on a journey of discovery to greater purpose, meaning and fulfilment.

Jesus didn’t command us to go to church or become ‘religious’; he simply said ‘Follow me’. Which is why I’m extending a warm invitation for you to join us.
