Our History
In 1898, a small group of faithful men and women decided they wanted to share the love of God with those who worked on Acton’s ever-growing railway network and so Acton Green Railway Mission was built in Cunnington Street.
Over the next few decades the impact of the church’s work could be felt in homes, factories and schools right across the area and further a field. Dozens of missionaries were sent out across the world and countless numbers of children were introduced to the love of God in Acton Green.
In 2001, with the church dwindling in numbers, a group of local Christians from the Oak Tree Fellowship, led by Andy Johnson were invited to come and continue the long tradition of God’s work. And so a new chapter of the life of Acton Green Church began.
